This page describes the actual use of cookies and local storage on the Ben Hemden Law Firm website, reflecting current practice.
Cookies
Audience measurement and advertising
Google Tag Manager is the technical tag-management container and loads only after analytics acceptance. Google Analytics (GA4) may then measure visits and contact actions, only with your permission. Analytics storage (analytics_storage) is denied by default; no analytics cookie is set before that permission.
You can accept or refuse analytics and later change your choice through “Manage cookies” in the footer. Your choice is stored in browser local storage (bh_analytics_consent_v1) for up to 180 days. If storage is unavailable, the choice applies only to the current page. Storage strictly necessary for operation and security remains available.
No advertising personalization is used. Meta Pixel, Hotjar and Vercel Analytics are not enabled.
Functional storage — language preference
When you explicitly choose a language (FR, EN or AR) through the site’s language switcher, the browser may store the value preferredLanguage in local storage (localStorage).
Possible values: fr, en or ar. This information is used solely to present the same interface language on a later visit through the site’s root address. It is not linked to an identity, IP address, geolocation or tracking identifier.
This storage is technical and functional. No consent banner is shown for this preference alone.
Essential technical elements
Ordinary technical server logs may be kept by the host to secure and operate the infrastructure.
The contact form may include Cloudflare Turnstile (managed widget) to limit automated submissions. This mechanism serves form security and anti-spam protection; it is not used for advertising or marketing tracking.
The site’s administration area, reserved for the firm, uses an HttpOnly session cookie (bh_admin_session) limited to the /admin path and required for authentication. That cookie is not set for public browsing of the site.
No cookie serving an advertising purpose is set by the public site.
Updates
This page may be updated if measurement tools, advertising technologies or other non-essential trackers are integrated in the future. In that case, an appropriate consent mechanism must be implemented before they are activated.
Personal-data processing related to contact requests is described in the Privacy policy. The version published here prevails.
